Supplement company iWi donates 2000 bottles of Omega-3 to first responders

Must read

As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic grips the United States, we need to keep in mind the heroes that are keeping us healthy and safe- the first responders, doctors, nurses, and medical staff that are working overtime. Our first responders are on the front line of both helping us and keeping us safe while also being inadvertently exposed to the Coronavirus, risking infection. As such, we need to do everything in our power to keep them healthy!

With so little known of the novel Coronavirus, and a vaccine not yet available, the best thing we can do to combat it is making our immune systems as robust as possible! Along with getting enough sleep, being diligent in washing your hands with soap and water, and having a nutrient-dense diet, supplements can help boost your immune system.

This is why Houston’s official “Fitness Czar” Samir Becic and his Health Fitness Revolution team have been contacting all the largest vitamin and mineral providers in America to donate some of their immune-boosting supplements to Houston’s first responders on behalf of the 501(c)3 designated Samir Becic Foundation.

Some of the vitamins needed include: Zinc, Vitamin C, Magnesium, Vitamin B, Omega 3s, Multivitamins, Multi minerals.

The first company to donate was the popular Omega-3 supplement company iWi. They donated 2000 bottles of their product to Houston’s first responders. iWi is comprised of a unique form of algae and contains the phospholipids and glycolipids the human body needs to absorb the most Omega-3s from each dose. iWi algae is absorbed 130% more than fish oil and 50% more than krill oil.

“After closely monitoring what’s going on in Italy, Spain, and other countries, we believe the US is going to be facing similar challenges and situations. Because all of us and our families depend on our First Responders, we would like to make a small donation that provides them with one of the main nutrients that can help to boost their immune system. High absorption, plant-based Omega3” said Miguel Calatayud, iWi’s CEO.

Here was the donation:

EPA:  500 bottles

Omega 3 Daily Support:  1000 bottles

Omega 3 Minis:   500 bottles

“The first company committing, without any hesitation, to 2000 bottles of Omega3s for the Houston Police Department and Houston Fire Department is Houston’s own iWi. Your contribution is noble and will help our city during this critical time. Even though your company is still growing, your generous donation is a testament to its great vision and heart. Houston appreciates your support!” says HFR founder Samir.

The generous donation on the part of iWi is worth over $40,000 and will be distributed evenly among the Houston police force (1000 bottles) and the Houston fire department (1000 bottles). Thank you iWi for doing your part in keeping our first responder’s immune systems strong!
