Day 25 Tip for Easing Into the Plan (Pg. 77, Tip #22)
Cut down on red meat. Red meat is high in a pro-inflammatory molecule called arachidonic acid. Eating a lot of meat tends to increase the oxidative-inflammatory cascade in your body. If left unchecked, this inflammatory condition can become chronic and cause abnormal glucose metabolism, ultimately leading to insulin resistance.
